My approach
All of my puppies are whelped and live in my home with me. I use Puppy Culture and Avidog (Good Dog) methods with my puppies. I follow Early Neurological Stimulation, Early Scent Introduction, and Conditioned Emotional Response protocols. By the time the puppies are a few weeks old they will have been exposed to a variety of textures, sounds, people, and experiences. When they are old enough, they are also introduced to the other dogs in my household and the outdoors. We do some foundational work on clicker training, crate training, potty training, and leash/harness training. I will not send puppies to their new homes before 10 weeks of age.
Medical care
I work with vets who specialize in breeding at Schultz Veterinary Clinic and follow their recommended vaccination schedule for puppies and adults. Before going to their new homes, all puppies will have a minimum of two rounds of vaccinations and will have been started on a heartworm preventative.
